At present, I am in the middle of the static-dynamic continuum. I have gained experience and am comfortable initiating, operating, and posting to blogs, wikis, and discussion posts. I am familiarizing myself with more dynamic innovations such as Imovie, You Tube, Garage Band, Inspiration, Quick time player, and Real Player during the development of the multimedia presentation. In addition, static technologies such as podcasts and videocasts yield valuable information via audio and visual stimuli in distance education. As a learner in distance education, I am exploring new content and researching much more than ever before. I am constantly challenged to enable innovations and technologies that enable higher order thinking skills by enabling users to analyze, evaluate, and determine appropriate methods of presenting and applying curriculum.

ReplyDeleteI like you am finding many new technologies that I previously haven't been familiar with as I'm working through my courses. I'm looking at ways I can put them into use in my everyday life at work to improve collaboration and communication at the office.

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your post and I think that using both static and dynamic tools is very important for the educational development of students whether they are in an online environment or whether they are using the tools to complement face to face education.
